Nottingham Forest have completed the signing of West Ham United’s teenage goalkeeper Rebekah Dowsett on a loan deal until the end of the season.

WSL Full-Time were informed of the news via an official club press release from The Tricky Trees this evening.

The 18-year-old stopper joined West Ham United from their Barclays Women’s Super League rivals Leicester City last summer and she recently signed her first professional terms with The Hammers. Dowsett is yet to really make her mark on the West Ham United first team but she did get some senior experience under her belt in a dual-registration spell with FA Women’s National League Southern Premier Division club Watford in the first half of the season.

On the international stage, Dowsett has represented England at Under-17 level.

After signing on loan at Nottingham Forest, Dowsett said “I’m excited to have joined Forest for the remainder of the season, it’s a club with a lot of ambition and history.

“I can’t wait to get started with this team; I think this move will help a lot with my development, working with a talented group of players and staff.”

Dowsett is Nottingham Forest’s third signing of the January transfer window.
