Nottingham Forest have tied Brazilian defender Murillo to a new contract running until 2030, the club confirmed.

It is the centre-back's second renewal at the City Ground and he said he was very happy. He called it a dream, important for his family and career, and evidence of the club's faith in him.

He thanked supporters, describing them as vital to him and the team, and said he felt proud.

Forest's global technical director George Syrianos highlighted Murillo's improvement since arriving, saying the defender has established himself among the best in his position.

He underlined the player's importance and appreciation for Forest and the affection he receives from those around the club. Syrianos said the agreement adds an extra year to Murillo's stay, both rewarding his ongoing impact and reflecting the club's ambition to keep growing.
