Nottingham Forest are said to be considering renewing their pursuit of Juventus defender Federico Gatti ahead of the summer window.
According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, Forest are circling the 27-year-old again, Juventus are open to a sale around €20 million (£17.5m), and a switch to the UK has been described as a concrete opportunity.
Forest first moved for Gatti a little over 12 months ago and were reported to have tabled a lucrative contract in the 2025 winter window, which he turned down. He was then monitored again last summer during a squad reshuffle.
West Ham United are also viewed as potential suitors, while it has been claimed Lyon have held talks with the player’s representatives.
Whatever division they are in next season, a significant rebuild is expected at the City Ground. Forest have 11 games to secure another Premier League campaign rather than a return to the Championship.
They are two points above the relegation zone with 18th-placed West Ham close behind, and Nuno Espirito Santo is keen to get one over his former employers after being dismissed by the Reds three games into the campaign.
Defence is likely to need attention, with Murillo expected to be in demand and Morato possibly allowed to depart after earlier interest was rebuffed.
