Man United Fixture history

Here are three storylines to look forward to.

Historicly bad run versus Forest

Ruben Amorim’s side have lost their last three consecutive league games against the Tricky Trees.

The Portuguese coach lost both games last season, a 2-3 defeat at Old Trafford and a 0-1 loss at the City Ground.

United’s poor form versus Forest began before the current manager though, as they lost 1-2 at the City Ground in December 2023 under Erik ten Hag.

Were Forest to win a fourth consecutive league match versus United, it would be the first time they would have gone on such a streak versus the Red Devils since between February 1909 and September 1910.

Don’t expect goals

Forest have had a tumultuous season to date with three different managers taking charge of their nine Premier League matches.

Sean Dyche was recently named in charge and pulled off a great win over Porto in the Europa League. They were beaten 0-2 away to AFC Bournemouth last week though.

The BBC report that, “Sean Dyche has seen his teams fail to score in 10 of his last 14 Premier League games in charge (9/13 with Everton, 1/1 with Nottingham Forest).”

What’s more, “among managers to take charge of 150+ games in Premier League history, Dyche has the lowest goals per game ratio (323 goals in 334 games, 0.97 per game).”

Expect Bryan Mbeumo to strike

Mbeumo has been one of the standout players in the Premier League last month but also all calendar year.

He has so far scored five goals for United, including three in his last two matches.

The BBC state that, “only Erling Haaland (19 goals, 3 assists) and Mohamed Salah (15 goals, 7 assists) have been involved in more Premier League goals in 2025 than Bryan Mbeumo (14 goals, 6 assists).”

United will hope the Cameroonian can help fire his side to a fourth consecutive league game to keep climbing the Premier League table.
