Nottingham Forest will mark their first European home match in nearly 30 years on Thursday when they welcome FC Midtjylland to The City Ground.
The historic occasion is set against a backdrop of crisis, however. New manager Ange Postecoglou is still searching for his first win, while the Danish visitors arrive in sensational form, having won 10 of their last 11 matches.
Ange Postecoglou is expected to recall key players Morgan Gibbs-White and Callum Hudson-Odoi to the starting lineup after they were surprisingly benched at the weekend. However, he will be without the injured Ola Aina and Nicolas Domínguez. Igor Jesus is pushing to start up front after his brace on matchday one.
The Danish champions have the luxury of a fully fit squad for their trip to Nottingham. Manager Mike Tullberg can name his strongest side, with in-form striker Franculino, who has eight goals in ten games this season, set to lead the attack.
Forest are in a dismal run of form, winless in seven matches across all competitions under new manager Ange Postecoglou. Their home record is particularly concerning, having lost five of their last seven at The City Ground without scoring. Their only positive result under the new boss was their opening Europa League 2-2 draw at Real Betis.
The visitors are in exceptional form, having won 10 of their last 11 competitive matches. They have also won their last six consecutive European games, a club record, and began their group stage with an impressive 2-0 victory over Sturm Graz.
Nottingham Forest predicted XI: Sels; Williams, Milenkovic, Morato, Zinchenko; Sangare, Anderson; Bakwa, Gibbs-White, Hudson-Odoi; Jesus
Midtjylland predicted XI: Olafsson; Diao, Erlic, Sorensen; Mbabu, Castillo, Billing, Simsir, Paulinho; Franculino, Brumado
The match will be broadcast live on TNT Sports 2 in the UK. Coverage begins at 7:30 pm BST.
