Nubank has agreed a deal to buy the naming rights for Palmeiras’ stadium, replacing Allianz, whose agreement began in 2014 and was due to run until 2034.

According to O Globo, the contract is worth 10 million dollars per year, about R$ 51 million at current rates, and runs until 2044.

Talks between Nubank and WTorre intensified in recent weeks and concluded with an agreement for the arena’s naming rights.

Allianz has held the rights since the venue’s inauguration, with the current deal worth around R$ 15 million a year, indexed to inflation.

The change highlights the arena’s rising commercial value and a shift in the types of companies aligning with Brazilian football.
