Nuno Mendes (21) missed the latter part of Paris Saint-Germain’s training session on Tuesday, ahead of Wednesday’s UEFA Champions League semi-final first leg against Borussia Dortmund.
Following PSG’s win over FC Lorient (4-1) one week ago, Mendes was rested against Le Havre AC as a precaution. However, he returned to training on Monday and it was expected that he would start against Borussia Dortmund. His participation is now in doubt.
Whilst Mendes was involved in the intense first part of the session and showed commitment in the duels, according to L’Équipe, he missed the final part of the session, dedicated to shooting. Instead, the Portuguese full-back, who has missed the majority of the season with injury, spoke with PSG’s medical staff, eliciting a sense of concern just 24 hours before the match against Borussia Dortmund. In the event that Mendes is not fit to start, Lucas Beraldo or Lucas Hernandez could start in his place at left-back.
