Nuno Tavares is not keen on joining Besiktas, preferring to hold out for Como. His future at Lazio remains unclear after he slipped down Maurizio Sarri’s pecking order, with Luca Pellegrini now a regular.
Il Corriere dello Sport reports that he has rejected an offer from the Istanbul club. The paper adds he had given the green light to Saudi Pro League side Al-Ittihad, coached by compatriot Sergio Conceicao, who enquired about a deal but did not follow up with a bid.
Como have recently expressed interest in the left-back and the parties are working on a solution. Their shortlist includes Tavares and Cruzeiro’s 22-year-old Brazilian, Kaiki Bruno.
The Portuguese defender appears to be heading for the exit at Formello after falling behind Pellegrini in Sarri’s plans. His next destination, however, remains uncertain.
Lazio’s price tag is €15 million, with Arsenal due 35% of any sale, following their €6 million deal to sell him to the Biancocelesti in summer 2024.
