NYCFC needs a smooth transition with the new head coach | OneFootball

When a new head coach joins a team, there can be growing pains, especially in the first few months. At the same time, he or she can make an immediate impact at the right time and in the right situation. The club needs a leader, someone who can adjust the tactics, someone who is not far away from the coaching styles of everyone from the past, one who will not cause strife with others in the locker room, a proven leader, and so much more.

Moreover, the Bronx team needs someone who is either familiar with Major League Soccer, NYCFC, or City Football Group. In some ways, the team missed an opportunity to bring Ronny Deila back. Since leaving the team, he has been on a coaching carousel and was with Al Wahda FC this season. However, the UAE Pro League team terminated his contract right before Atlanta United FC could sign him. As a result, the Georgia side announced him as the new head coach, and now NYCFC has to play him twice a year.

Some might argue that the team should not consider or have considered any former coach.
