Former Chelsea midfielder John Obi Mikel believes Chelsea just lack a bit more experience to win the Premier League.
Mikel has been speaking off the back of Chelsea beating Wolves 3-0 on Saturday night to put themselves in third spot on the Premier League heading into this latest international break. But Mikel is not getting carried away with anything yet and believes that Chelsea will not be challenging for the league title just yet.
And speaking of the international break, my colleague thinks we will be very lucky to come through it without any further injuries being reported, which of course is always the frustrating thing about having all these boring international breaks and forcing the players to be playing so many games of football.

Mikel, speaking on the latest episode of his own Podcast this week, says:
“I think we’re not going to win the league this season. I think we just lack a bit more experience in terms of winning the league.
“But I think top four should be aim this season. But listen, if we’re there, we’re there. I think right now we’re playing well, we’re winning games, and of course, we don’t have the main man back Cole Palmer. I think when he comes back into that team, we will be a much, much better team.”
Do you think Chelsea will challenge for the Premier League this season, currently being in third spot? Surely that IS challenging, no?
Personally, I think they are challenging, but I don’t think they will win the league this season.
