Ochieng handed 12 as Real Sociedad set provisional numbers, Karrikaburu 19 and Goti 22 | OneFootball

According to Diario Vasco, Real Sociedad have released a provisional squad list, handing Job Ochieng 12, Karrikaburu 19 and Goti 22, with only six and 25 unassigned. The six shirt had long belonged to Aritz Elustondo.

With Iñaki Rupérez registered with Sanse, no senior player has been left without a number, and Ochieng cannot shuttle between squads because he is 23. Karrikaburu could end up at Burgos, while Goti has taken Wesley’s former shirt.

Ochieng has trained as a first-team player throughout pre-season. Aside from not starting the last two friendlies, Matarazzo has treated him like any other senior. The opening weeks will show if he gets minutes after nine goals in 25 Segunda matches and a first-team debut last season.

The list is provisional and may change until the window closes on the first of September. Jon Martín, a mainstay since last season, keeps B-team number 31 to free a senior slot for possible additions. Further movement is expected, at least a centre-back and right-back, and perhaps a pivot and an attacker.

Pacheco, back from his Alavés loan, takes 16 from Caleta-Car. There are other tweaks, with Zakharyan switching from 21 to 23, previously worn by Brais, and Yangel moving to 21, vacating 12.
