Following Arsenal’s Premier League title success, attentions are starting to turn towards the Champions League final, with the Gunners due to face Paris Saint-Germain in Budapest on Saturday.
Arsenal captain Martin Odegaard has admitted the team are keen to play the game right now, with the current mood in the group driving them on with a new energy.
Odegaard believes this weekend is the chance for the team to complete the task they’ve been working for all year.

“We have something incredible to play for again,” Odegaard told Sky Sports. “We’ve said that the whole season, Premier League, Champions League, the two big ones, we want to be there.
“Another dream that we can make a reality, it’s amazing to have that to look forward to with this energy, with this mood in the group.
“To have a final to prepare for is just so special, and everyone is just excited. We want to play it straight away, you know? Yeah, can’t wait!”

Mikel Arteta’s current Arsenal side have already brought back the Premier League trophy to north London for the first time in 22 years, and for the first time since the move to the Emirates Stadium.
But winning the Champions League would be going one step further, giving Arsenal fans something they’ve never experienced before.
This wouldn’t be the first time Arsenal had won the competition in 22 years, or the first time since the stadium move. It would just be the first time ever.
That opportunity to make history is undeniably appealing to everyone involved with the club, and it’s understandable the team would want to get going with that goal as soon as possible.
