Mikel Arteta’s men went into the half-time break 1-0 up on the scoreline.

Georginio Rutter scored an unfortunate own goal in the 52nd minute before Diego Gomez got a goal back for the Seagulls in the 64th minute. The contest finished with Arsenal securing a hard-fought 2-1 win at the Emirates.
