Álvaro Odriozola’s afternoon ended almost as soon as it began, the Real Sociedad full-back lasting only three minutes against Oviedo.

He replaced Aramburu in the 53rd minute, and in his first involvement he took a knock to his knee that forced him off. According to AS, he left the pitch limping, supported by two team doctors.

It is not the first time this season the defender has had problems with that knee.

Odriozola had recently been seeing more action. He started the last round against Elche and was gradually winning the new coach’s trust with assured performances.

The extent of this setback is still unknown, with further tests required to determine it. Early impressions were not encouraging.
