ÖFB-Frauen Bundesliga results: Pfanner saves Austria Wien, First Vienna grab first win, Graz stay top | OneFootball

In the third week of the 2026/27 season of the ÖFB-Frauen Bundesliga, there were no real surprises. Austria Wien earned three points at home whilst SKN St. Pölten and SK Sturm Graz kept 100 percent win records.

It was once again a week of exciting football throughout the league, with only one draw to be seen. Südburgenland continued their valiant battle against relegation by earning another point. Meanwhile, SCR Altach seem to have a mountain to climb to stay in the Bundesliga.

SKN St. Pölten vs SCR Altach

German youth international Linna Hermsmeier made her senior debut both in her career and for SKN St. Pölten against SCR Altach, starting in goal. It was an easy shift for the 17-year-old as Pölten got the first goal within 90 seconds. Ľudmila Maťavková pounced on a loose ball in the Altach box to finish.

Pölten showed no sign of slowing down following up with goals from Lisa Ebert and an own-goal before the first half finished. However, it’s worth noting that the SCR Altach own-goal was an error forced by the technical ability of Pölten forward Fanny Vágó. The Hungarian legend repeatedly used a corner technique throughout the game that Altach had no answer to.

There was a clear intention from Pölten throughout the fixture. Head coach Laurent Fassotte seems to have instilled a two-touch policy in the middle of his team. It was a fluid and high tempo performance from his side that earned the three points as the game finished 3-0.

SK Sturm Graz vs FC Red Bull Salzburg

It’s three wins from three now for Tode Djakovic’s Graz side. It was Lena Breznik who got the side underway on the 31st minute after the 19-year-old Graz youth product curled a rebound beyond Salzburg goalkeeper Valerie Guha.

Former Südburgenland star Lilla Sipos scored the second and last goal for Graz. The Hungarian, who scored 15 goals in the 2025/26 season, smashed home a well deserved goal, handing Graz the three points.

Salzburg will be disappointed to lose the game but it was a fair result based on the displays. They next face more tough opposition with Austria Wien hosting the side in Vienna.

SpG Südburgenland/TSV Hartberg vs SK Rapid

Südburgenland head coach Michael Thek will be very happy with his side picking up their second point of the season. The side finished bottom in the 2025/26 season but are looking a much stronger and organised side so far this time.

Emilia Csejtei got Südburgenland going with a classy finish past Rapid goalkeeper Jasmin Zotter after a one-on-one between the pair.

SK Rapid then bagged two goals back to take the lead through 17-year-old Sophia Zöger and Lisa Rammel. Rapid thought they had done enough but Südburgenland popped up with a goal in the 97th minute at the death of the game.

A powerful headed goal from a corner from Vanessa Beiglböck made the game 2-2. The 20-year-old Austrian defender had only scored one league goal prior to this one, but looked no stranger to scoring, earning her team the point.

Südburgenland now sit eighth in the league table, two points ahead of both Linz and Altach. SK Rapid, also on two points, sit above them in seventh but with a game in-hand. The bottom four teams all face each other respectively next match-week and we should see some clear early indications of who will stay in the Bundesliga.

FC Blau-Weiß Linz/Union Kleinmünchen vs First Vienna FC 1894

It was as the cliché goes, a game of two halves, with both goals scored minutes either side of the 45 mark. First Vienna took all three points as they made the journey back from Linz with a 0-2 scoreline.

Played on what was the driest pitch this writer has seen in a career’s worth of football fields, Lilah Havel got the scoring underway in the 44th minute. Former Austria Wien player Havel remained calm and finished into the top right corner past keeper Julia Zangerl.

New signing from SCR Altach Maja Keckeis grabbed the second goal for First Vienna. It’ll be a welcome result for new boss Denny Krcmarek, whose side have now picked up their first win of the season.

Linz will likely beginning to start worrying about their season after an unexpected poor start. This result leaves them three games into the new season and without a point to show for it.

Linz manager Jasmin Pistotnik has a solid reputation as a coach in the country and will surely be able to find another level from her players to pull them out of the rut they’ve found themselves now in.

FK Austria Wien vs LASK

It was also a first domestic win of the season for Austria Wien. They grabbed a 2-0 home win with a double from Patricia Pfanner. It was a tense fixture that saw manager Stefan Kenesei receive a yellow card from the referee, although it was clear why the manager was frustrated.

Refereeing decisions aside, Austria Wien kept their calm and despite a wonder-strike from Austrian youth international Ella Herbst, goalkeeper Jasmin Pal was equal to the shot and tipped it onto the bar and out of play.

It was Pfanner who broke the deadlock with a skilful finish on the 63rd minute and then again shortly after in the 65th to make it 2-0. Austria Wien were the dominant side throughout the game, holding up play well in parts. The likes of Modesta Uka and 17-year-old Valentina Pötzl created endless chances and caused nothing but trouble for the LASK defence throughout the game.

“It’s not about me in these sorts of games, it’s about the team,” Jasmin Pal told Her Football Hub after the game. “Now we need to focus on each game and give 100 percent. The team knows what we’re capable of. I think in the UWCL qualifications we’ve shown we can win games and do this. I hope we just continue to play how we have today in the second half.”
