FC Barcelona were able to win their last La Liga match against Osasuna but they had to pay a dear price to get the full three points from this game.

Some minutes into the first half, the Blaugranes saw one of their midfielders, Dani Olmo, getting to the ground due to a physical problem and Flick decided to sub him out for Fermin Lopez.

Now, detailed tests on the Spaniard have been undertaken and their results obtained by the Catalan side. FC Barcelona have officially announced on their X account that the midfielder is suffering from a myofascial injury in the right leg with which he is expected to spend around three weeks on the sidelines.

This was the extent of time the Spaniard was expected to miss after the first assessments of his injury.

However, as Hansi Flick had highlighted in the press conference after the win against Osasuna, even two weeks on the sidelines for a player as important as Olmo can have significant implications for Barcelona keeping in view the tight schedule ahead, with two matches scheduled in almost every week.

Mundo Deportivo has provided an overview of the games that Olmo is expected to miss with this injury. The first game he will be unable to play will be the one against Girona on 30th March.

Then, he will also remain on the sidelines for the games against Atletico Madrid (Copa del Rey), Real Betis (La Liga), Borussia Dortmund (UCL), Leganes (La Liga), and the second leg against Dortmund.

Without any doubt, the midfielder will be keenly missed in all of these six games, as Barcelona are competing for all of these three titles and losing even a single game can have drastic implications for their season.

Hopefully, other midfielders will be able to step up and ensure Olmo is not missed too much in these three weeks.
