As confirmed on social media, France international midfielder Adrien Rabiot (29) will sign for Olympique de Marseille on a free transfer subject to successful medical examinations. The 29-year-old has agreed a deal to sign for Les Olympiens after he became a free agent following the expiry of his contract at Juventus in June.

Rabiot’s future has been a topic which has continued to be discussed throughout the summer transfer window. Without a club following the closure of the transfer windows in Europe’s top 5 leagues, many were left wondering where the midfielder would be playing his football this season.

The former PSG midfielder was linked with a move to several clubs including Manchester United, Liverpool and even a potential return to Juventus. However, the Frenchman is now set to return to his homeland and play under Roberto De Zerbi at the Stade Vélodrome. An agreement has been reached between the respective parties and the deal will be confirmed as long as Rabiot passes his medical with Marseille.
