Bayer Leverkusen have signed France international winger Moussa Diaby (27) from Al-Ittihad, both clubs have announced. The former PSG youth product returns to the Bundesliga side after spending four seasons with Die Werkself. In his first Bayer Leverkusen spell, Diaby logged 49 goals and 47 assists in 172 games played. After only one season with Aston Villa, Diaby left the Villans for Al-Ittihad in a €60m deal.

Diaby notably won the 2024-2025 Saudi Pro League with Al-Ittihad. He returns to Bayer Leverkusen after the Bundesliga side reached a reported €30m deal with Al-Ittihad. The France international winger has signed a 5-year deal, and he will reunite with his No. 19 jersey. “In Moussa Diaby, we have brought a superb striker back to the Bundesliga. With his exceptional pace and dribbling ability, he will add further quality to our attacking play and create even more opportunities,” said Bayer Leverkusen Sporting Director Simon Rolfes.
