Angel Gomes (25) has left Olympique de Marseille to join Wolverhampton Wanderers on loan for the remainder of the 2025/26 season.
It is understood that the Premier League club will pay an initial €1m fee for the loan move, whilst there is also a purchase option, which would allow Wolves to sign the Manchester United academy graduate for a fee of €7m at the end of the season.
Gomes only joined Marseille at the start of the season. He did so following the expiry of his contract at Lille OSC. Despite playing 20 times for OM this season (four goals, one assist), he has rarely started and he has featured more sparingly in recent weeks. He has also registered just 64 minutes in the UEFA Champions League campaign, showing that Roberto De Zerbi did not necessarily trust the England international for the big occasions.
Gomes now returns to the Premier League, where he faces the difficult task of dragging Wolves out of the relegation zone.
