Official: Another Real Madrid summer signing registered with La Liga | OneFootball

La Liga giants Real Madrid have on Monday registered another member of the club’s summer recruitment drive for action in Spain’s top-flight for the season ahead.

The player in question? Bernardo Silva.

Midfielder Bernardo of course put pen to paper on terms in Spain’s capital back in June. Following the expiration of the 31-year-old’s Manchester City contract, Real Madrid beat out stiff competition to bring Bernardo to La Liga for the next two seasons.

The Portuguese had since not been called for pre-season training by compatriot José Mourinho, afforded an extended summer vacation following his exploits with Portugal at the World Cup.

On Monday morning, though, Bernardo was spotted at Valdebebas for the very first time.

And as alluded to above, the versatile midfielder’s arrival in Spain was quickly followed by his La Liga registration being confirmed on the organisation’s official website:

Bernardo joins new teammates Denzel Dumfries, Ibrahima Konaté, Marc Cucurella and Carlos Espí in being registered for league play by Real Madrid this summer.
