Arminia Bielefeld have announced the signing of 27-year-old right-sided midfielder Alessandro Schöpf on a two-year contract until 2023.
The Austria international has joined the Bundesliga side on a free transfer after his contract with relegated Schalke expired.
“Alessandro is a player with a lot of Bundesliga experience. He gives our squad new opportunities and will help us right away. We’re happy that we were able to win him over,” said Arminia Bielefeld sporting director Samir Arabi.
Schöpf played 940 minutes of Bundesliga football last season for S04.
