Badredine Bouanani (19) has extended his contract at OGC Nice until 2029, the club confirmed earlier this week.
Bouanani started in Le Gym’s 1-1 draw against Real Sociedad in the UEFA Europa League in late September, a sign of the Algeria international’s growing stature at the club. He has already made nine appearances for Nice this season, including four starts. That comes after a loan spell at FC Lorient last season, during which he made 11 appearances, scoring once.
The winger has over two years remaining on his deal, however, Les Aiglons have been looking to extend his contract for a further two years, which they now succeeded in doing. Bouanani signed his first professional contract with Le Gym at the age of 17 in 2022. The latest deal evidences Nice’s faith in the winger, who came through the ranks at Lille OSC.
“I am very happy to extend my contract. I feel that Le Gym are putting everything in place to allow me to flourish and I want to do everything I can to repay that confidence,” said Bouanani, who will look to establish himself as a first-team regular this season.
