Official: Barcelona announce youngster’s signing | OneFootball

La Liga giants Barcelona have on Sunday announced the signing of long-time transfer target Hamza Abdelkarim.

The name of youngster Abdelkarim has of course been a prominent one in the headlines surrounding Barcelona for several months now.

This comes after word was forthcoming that the Camp Nou brass had set their sights on the signature of the 18-year-old.

Negotiations over the terms of a deal based around an initial loan featuring an option to buy in the summer were, in turn, kicked into gear with Egyptian outfit Al Ahly.

And as alluded to above, this weekend, such negotiations have officially borne fruit.

As per a statement across the website and social media platforms of Barcelona on Sunday:

‘FC Barcelona and Al Ahly have reached an agreement for the loan of Hamza Abdelkarim until June 30, 2026. The agreement includes an option to buy for the Catalan club at the end of the season.’
