After having led the Barcelona Juvenil A team to immense success this season, Juliano Belletti has been promoted to the managerial role of the Barça Atletic team, the club confirmed today.
“FC Barcelona has reached an agreement with Juliano Belletti to be the new coach of Barça Atlètic for the 2025/26 season,” the statement read.
“The former Brazilian player and club legend, who was currently the coach of the Juvenil A, will lead the Blaugrana reserve team next season in the Second Federation.”
Belletti had an outstanding season with Juvenil A, winning the treble: the Copa del Rey, the División de Honor La Liga title, and the UEFA Youth League.
Now he will hope to achieve similar success with Barça Atletic, who faced relegation from the RFEF Primera Division this season.
This will not be Belletti’s first experience with Barça Atletic. In the 2023/24 season, he joined the coaching staff as assistant to Rafa Marquez during the second half of the league campaign.
As a player, Belletti wore the Barcelona shirt from the 2004/05 season to the 2006/07 season. His career highlights include the 2005/06 UEFA Champions League win, where he played a decisive role by scoring the winning goal against Arsenal.
