With one hand already on the La Liga title, FC Barcelona are set to welcome Celta Vigo to the Spotify Camp Nou for their next league fixture. For both teams, this game will be a true test and it will certainly be a thrilling contest for two of the best teams that the Spanish First Division has to offer.

However, with Hansi Flick being aware of the fact that this is the last major trophy that his side can compete for this season, it was quite obvious that he would be taking no chances when it came to the team selection. For that reason, the German tactician has decided to field a strong side for this important league encounter.

Here is the official starting eleven for FC Barcelona ahead of the game.

In goal, unsurprisingly, Joan Garcia starts for La Blaugrana in front of the home supporters. He has been excellent all season, and the Spaniard will be expected to thwart Celta Vigo’s forwards whenever they dare to find the back of the net.

Ahead of him, the defensive partnership of Pau Cubarsi and Gerard Martin will be looking to protect and shield the Barcelona goal as frequently as possible. Both players will need to ensure that they can efficiently play the ball out from the back while maintaining the team’s high-line with proper composure.

On the flanks, Joao Cancelo and Jules Kounde have been chosen to cover the wide areas of the pitch and they will be looking to aid their forwards from out wide while doing the same thing for their teammates in defense as well. Both of them will be crucial if the team wants to get a good result here.

In midfield, Pedri is accompanied by Eric Garcia and both midfielders will be looking to dominate proceedings while creating as many opportunities for their teammates as well. Moreover, they will be responsible for dictating the tempo of this game and that could be decisive in a game such as this.

On the wings, Lamine Yamal and Gavi have been chosen to start the game for Flick’s team. They will look to hurt Celta Vigo from the wide areas while Dani Olmo starts in between them as the central attacking midfielder. The Spaniard will look to create chances for his teammates while orchestrating play from the central areas.

Lastly, up top, Ferran Torres is the man who starts as the team’s focal point in the attack. He will be expected to convert the chances that come his way and apply the initial pressure that Hansi Flick’s structure demands to get the most out of his players.
