FC Barcelona will be kicking off their game against FC Copenhagen soon in the UEFA Champions League. A crucial encounter, it is one that will decide whether or not the Catalan giants can finish in the top eight positions that the league phase has to offer.

For that reason, Hansi Flick has taken no chances with his starting eleven either. Despite missing both Pedri and Frenkie de Jong, the German coach has managed to put together a relatively strong group of players.

In goal, Joan Garcia retains his place as Barça’s starting goalkeeper and he will be looking to help the team concede less. Fortunately, the Spaniard has the quality to ensure that.

Ahead of him, Pau Cubarsi and Gerard Martin start as the team’s two centre-backs. Both Spanish defenders will need to be alert at all times, as the team simply cannot afford to slip up at any moment during this match.

On the flanks, for this game, Alejandro Balde and Jules Kounde start as the full-backs. Both players had a positive impact after coming on as substitutes in the last game, and they will look to have a similar impact from the start this time.

In the midfield, Eric Garcia and Dani Olmo start together as the double-pivot. Both players will need to help out the team when it comes to keeping possession, but also in terms of generating chances.

As for the attack up ahead, Raphinha and Lamine Yamal occupy the wings for Barcelona. In between the two wingers, Fermin Lopez starts as the team’s central attacking midfielder and he will look to threaten FC Copenhagen as well.

Lastly, up top, Robert Lewandowski starts as the team’s centre-forward. The Polish striker will look to threaten the opposition goal, and he will look to apply pressure on them throughout the game.
