Leading members of the first-team ranks at La Liga giants Barcelona and Real Madrid have on Wednesday been nominated for a high-profile award.

The accolade in question? The Spanish top-flight’s Player of the Month.

Both Barca and Real Madrid are in the midst of flawless months to date.

Across La Liga and the Champions League alike, the Clásico rivals have rattled off three and four victories each respectively.

Across these outings, a whole host of players have shone bright from both squads.

And as alluded to above, this week, two such stars have seen their endeavours aptly recognised by way of La Liga.

As per a release across the Spanish top-flight’s social media platforms, Pedri and Kylian Mbappé have been nominated for Player of the Month for September.

Also in the running for the prestigious prize are Rubén Vargas of Sevilla, Real Betis midfielder Pablo Fornals, and Levante talent Karl Etta Eyong.
