FC Barcelona have confirmed their squad for the upcoming match against Celta Vigo following a light training session.
One of the key takeaways from the squad announcement is the absence of Lamine Yamal. The young forward was part of the travelling group for the previous away game against Real Sociedad but did not make it into the final squad and watched the match from the stands.
The German coach, dealing with a series of injuries and absences, has included several new faces in the squad to compensate for the missing players. Promising talents Noah Darvich and Alvaro Cortes have earned their first-ever call-ups to the senior team.
Both players have impressed with their performances at Barça Atletic and participated in the last couple of training sessions with the first team. Additionally, Guille Fernandez, another rising star, has also been included in the travelling group.
Amid the challenges, the team can rely on Robert Lewandowski, who has fully recovered from the back problems that kept him out of Poland’s international fixtures.
The experienced striker has a strong record against Celta Vigo, making him a key player for the match. His return is a significant boost for the squad.
Barcelona are travelling to Vigo with a limited first-team roster of just 16 players. The list of absentees includes key names like Yamal, Ferran Torres, Ansu Fati, Eric Garcia, Ronald Araujo, Andreas Christensen, Marc-Andre ter Stegen, and Bernal.
As a result, the manager is banking on Diego Kochen, Hector Fort, Sergi Dominguez and Gerard Martin apart from Guille, Cortes and Darvich.
