FC Barcelona have announced the squad list for tonight’s UEFA Champions League game against Eintracht Frankfurt, and there is a major headline.

Club captain Marc-Andre ter Stegen has been named in the squad list for the first time this season, after having spent the past few months out with injury.

The German international had to undergo back surgery in the summer and went on to miss four months of action since the season started.

Now, having recovered and trained with the team for the past week, the 33-year-old goalkeeper is back in the squad, having received the green light from the medical department.

However, he will act as the third-choice shot-stopper for Barcelona with Joan Garcia and Wojciech Szczesny ahead of him in the pecking order.

Ronald Araujo remains unavailable due to mental health problems, while Gavi and Dani Olmo are injury-enforced absentees.

Raphinha is understood to be fit and ready to go after not playing a single minute vs Real Betis due to an overload.

Meanwhile, youngsters Jofre Torrents and Dro have been called up, but there is no place for Tommy Marques, who has featured in the squad in the past couple of league matches.
