Barcelona star Karim Adeyemi has this week been rewarded for his impressive efforts since taking his talents to Catalunya’s capital. This comes courtesy of a return to the German national team setup.

Frontman Adeyemi is for his part fresh off nothing short of a spectacular individual performance on Wednesday night. En route to Barcelona putting seven past a hapless Racing Santander at the Camp Nou, the 24-year-old terrorised the visitors’ backline throughout the 90 minutes.

These exploits ultimately gave rise to a solitary assist, as well as a pair of penalties won.

All told, since swapping Dortmund for Barcelona over the summer, Adeyemi has in turn racked up five direct goal contributions in seven appearances.

And as alluded to above, on Thursday, this return to form on the part of the versatile attacker has been recognised by his country’s football federation.

Ahead of a quartet of upcoming fixtures across the international break, new Germany head coach Jürgen Klopp has afforded Adeyemi – left out of Die Mannschaft’s ranks for the World Cup – a well-earned recall.
