FC Barcelona are set to kick off their game against Getafe soon. For the Catalan giants, this is a must-win game as they welcome their opponents to the Estadi Johan Cruyff and look to fight for all three points.
Despite the team’s obvious uncertainties in terms of player fitness and availability, Flick’s squad still has strong depth and it will be put to good use in this game. After all, the German coach has decided to trust a strong starting line-up for this fixture.
In goal, Joan Garcia starts and it is hardly surprising to see yet again. His performances for the team have been top class so far, and it remains clear as day that Flick trusts him to keep the Barça goal safe and sound.
Ahead of him, the German tactician has decided to go with a centre-back pairing of Eric Garcia and Andreas Christensen. They will need to be defensively solid while also playing out from the back.
On their flanks, Gerard Martin and Jules Kounde start as the team’s left-back and right-back respectively. They will need to assist the team both in attack and defense, and they have the quality to manage that.

In midfield, Pedri starts alongside Frenkie de Jong in midfield. Both midfielders will need to be sharp on the ball and ensure that their distribution is accurate, as it could open up a lot of opportunities for their teammates.
Further forward, Raphinha and Ferran Torres start as the two wingers for Barça. In between them, Dani Olmo starts as the team’s central attacking midfielder.
Lastly, Robert Lewandowski starts up top as the team’s primary centre-forward. He will need to be clinical with his opportunities, and that is crucial considering the fact that Getafe will try their best to limit any good service.
