This of course means that the 24-year-old will be eligible to play his part in the Blaugrana’s season opener late today.

In the buildup to the clash, the ‘registration situation’ has dominated the headlines in Catalunya’s capital, as Joan Laporta and co. work tirelessly to ensure that the club’s summer signings will be at the disposal of Barca headmaster Hansi Flick.

And as alluded to above, in the early hours of Saturday, such efforts, for one player at least, officially bore fruit.

As showcased below, Joan García has been registered with La Liga, meaning the shot-stopper is in line for a starting debut against Mallorca this evening.
