Official: Blati Touré leaves Pyramids FC
The Burkina Faso international, Ibrahim Blati Touré, is leaving Pyramids FC and the Egyptian Premier League. The African champion has signed with Al Ahly Tripoli in Libya.
It’s the end of a remarkable Egyptian adventure for Blati Touré. But the 31-year-old Burkina Faso international isn’t leaving North Africa just yet. He’s making the switch to their Libyan neighbors, joining Al Ahly, the capital’s club.
The Burkina Faso midfield maestro has inked an eighteen-month contract.
Ibrahim Blati joined Pyramids in January 2022, right after the Africa Cup of Nations in Cameroon, where Burkina Faso finished fourth. Over four seasons, he made more than 160 appearances. His outstanding performances were rewarded with two major trophies: the CAF Champions League and the CAF Super Cup in 2025 with Pyramids.
Blati Touré is expected to take command in Al Ahly’s midfield. The current league leaders are aiming to clinch the Libyan Premier League title at the end of the season.
