Bundesliga side Bochum have today announced the signing of former Bournemouth and Sheffield United forward Lys Mousset (26) on a free transfer. The Frenchman has signed a two-year deal until 2024.
“Lys Mousset has enjoyed the excellent French youth education, showing his skills first in France and then over several years at the highest level in England. With him we’re able to add an interesting facet to our attack,” said sporting director Sebastian Schindzielorz.
Mousset added: “I want to be on the pitch and play as much as possible. The Bundesliga is pretty much new territory for me, I know it from the media. I’m curious to get to know my new teammates and I’m looking forward to the first sessions with them.”
Mousset spent the last six months on loan at Salernitana, the French attacker played just 157 minutes across six games. During his time at Sheffield United, Mousset scored nine and created four across 53 games in all competitions, adding to his five goals scored at Bournemouth.
