VfL Bochum midfielder Matúš Bero will be out injured for several weeks after rupturing a medial ligament in his knee.
In Bochum’s recent loss to Borussia Mönchengladbach, Bero only lasted six minutes on the pitch before he was substituted with injury.
The Slovakian left the pitch limping with a bandaged knee and looking in serious discomfort.
Bero joined Bochum in the summer from Vitesse Arnhem on a free transfer and has started five games this season.
He has played a big part in Bochum’s season so far and with the points that they have picked up so far.
However, Bochum currently sit in 16th place and are just two points above bottom place Mainz, and this will be news that is not needed as they still search for their first win in the Bundesliga this season.
29-year-old Christopher Antwi-Adjei will be likely to replace Bero in the next starting lineup as Bochum take a tough trip to face 5th placed RB Leipzig on Saturday.
