Official: Conor Gallagher signs with Tottenham

It's now official. Conor Gallagher is leaving Atlético Madrid and making his return to the Premier League. The English midfielder has signed with Tottenham Hotspur in a transfer deal estimated at €40 million.

According to information from Ben Jacobs, the 25-year-old has signed a long-term contract running until June 2031. The Spurs have thus secured their first signing of the winter transfer window. Previously at Chelsea, the England international (22 caps) joined Atlético a year and a half ago. Wearing the Madrid shirt, he played 77 matches, scored 7 goals, and provided 7 assists.

Gallagher, who was also being tracked by Aston Villa, ultimately chose to return to London. Tottenham, currently 14th in the Premier League, hopes his arrival will inject fresh momentum into the midfield.
