As FC Schalke 04 announced this morning, Junior Dina Ebimbe has signed a contract in Gelsenkirchen until 2028.
Furthermore, both parties reportedly have an option to extend the contract by an additional season through to 2029 if required.
Reportedly, the transfer fee for Ebimbe is only €700,000 – while a further €600,000 could be added through bonuses.
His former employers Eintracht Frankfurt, who loaned him out to Stade Brest last season, also reportedly bagged a 25 percent sell-on clause.
The agreement between the three-time Cameroon international and Schalke had been in place for several days.
The breakthrough between the clubs only came recently, and now the versatile player has a new chance to establish himself in the Bundesliga.
“We had been looking at his profile for some time and, after positive discussions with Eintracht Frankfurt, we now had the opportunity to sign Junior Dina Ebimbe.
"He brings a wealth of experience from his previous clubs to the right wing-back position, as well as the necessary dynamism and quick decision-making.
"At the same time, he possesses the flexibility to play in several positions. Our playing style inherently demands a high level of physicality, and Junior has everything he needs,” said Schalke director Youri Mulder.
