Official: Dynamo Dresden recruit Mainz's Bobzien permanently

Ben Bobzien has permanently transferred to SG Dynamo Dresden, as confirmed this afternoon by 1.FSV Mainz 05.

The 23-year-old was already on loan to the Saxon capital club last season, where he delivered 9 goal contributions last campaign.

Leading the line as the striker, Bobzien's influence was credited as one of the reasons why Dresden avoided relegation to the 3.Liga.

“Ben has steadily developed at Mainz and during several loan spells in recent years, making his Bundesliga and European debuts for us.

"Given the strong competition within our club and his desire for more playing time, Ben expressed his wish to join Dynamo Dresden.

“He has already done a very good job in the last six months and quickly established himself,” said Mainz sporting director Niko Bungert.
