Bundesliga side FC Köln yesterday completed the signing of German striker Mark Uth from Schalke on a two-year contract until 2023 with an option to extend for a further year.
The 29-year-old joins Köln on a free transfer after reaching an agreement with Schalke to have his contract terminated, S04 will not pay Uth any severance pay, according to Kicker.
“It is an absolutely positive signal that Mark Uth is joining us. He is a player who fits what we wanted, he can score goals and is very experienced. Along with that, his qualities in the build-up and his vision are well known,” said Köln head coach Steffen Baumgart.
Uth spent the second half of the 2019/20 season on loan at Köln.
