Lille OSC have officially announced the arrival of Gaëtan Perrin (29) from FC Krasnodar, despite earlier rumours suggesting that the forward would return to his former club, AJ Auxerre.
Perrin moved to Russia last summer after establishing himself as an important attacking outlet for Auxerre, but his adaptation has not gone as hoped. Despite featuring in 20 matches in all competitions this season, the Frenchman has struggled to fully settle at Krasnodar, where he remains under contract until 2028.
He has been linked with a return to a struggling Auxerre side all window. The club currently find themselves in the relegation zone. However, instead, Perrin has arrived at Lille, who have been in search of attacking reinforcements in the closing hours of the transfer window.
Perrin will join up with a squad that has struggled since the start of the new year, having won only once and lost all six of their other games across all competitions.
