Frosinone have officially appointed Vincenzo Vivarini as their new coach, as Eusebio Di Francesco took over at Venezia.
The Canarini spent the 2023-24 season in Serie A and had been the favourites to stay up going into the final round, needing only a draw against Udinese to survive.
However, they lost 1-0 and a last-gasp Empoli victory combined to send them down to Serie B along with Sassuolo and Salernitana.
Di Francesco left and was hired by Venezia, who have just earned promotion to Serie A via the play-offs, joining Parma and Como in the top flight.
Today Frosinone announced that 58-year-old Vivarini is their new coach on a contract to June 2026.
He had been in charge of Catanzaro from November 2021 until the termination by mutual consent last week.
This is a period of profound change for the club, who also parted company with director Salvatore Gualtieri after seven years at the club.
