Official: Gavi misses out again as Barcelona name XI to face Leganés | OneFootball

The XI of players set to take to the pitch for Barcelona in the club’s latest outing has this evening been unveiled online.

And it features several noteworthy inclusions and exclusions alike.

Barcelona are of course primed to return to action in short order.

Shifting focus back towards matters on the domestic front, the Blaugrana have made the trip to Madrid, for a La Liga meeting with relegation-battling Leganés.

The fixture comes sandwiched between the two legs of the club’s Champions League tie with Borussia Dortmund, the 2nd leg of which has been pencilled in for Tuesday.

It should therefore come as little surprise to hear of Hansi Flick opting to shake up his line-up for the night.

Dropping out of Barca’s XI are the likes of Pau Cubarsí and Frenkie de Jong, opening the door for Ronald Araújo and Eric García to step in.

Gavi, meanwhile, is forced to watch on from the bench once more, with Fermín López rewarded for his stellar showing in midweek with a 2nd successive start:
