The Ivory Coast international has made his return to Italian football, having started out in the Empoli youth academy.

He then moved to Sassuolo, where he was sold to Bournemouth for €25.6m in 2023.

There were injuries and loan spells with Napoli, Auxerre and Marseille, the latter with an option to make permanent for €7.7m.

According to multiple sources, Genoa have taken Traore on loan with an option to buy at the end of the season for a total fee of around €10m.

The 26-year-old had his medical tests this week and put pen to paper with Genoa.
