The signing of the 25-year-old North Macedonian was announced by the Catalonian club on Thursday morning, as Miovski signs on a four-year deal.
Girona have paid almost €8 million to Aberdeen to make the move happen, a fee which is the Scottish outfit’s record for a sale.
Miovski is set to make his Champions League debut for Girona this season, having previously only played in the Europa League and the Conference League with Aberdeen.
In a curious sidenote, the striker has already made three appearances this season for Aberdeen, whose Scottish Premiership campaign got underway on the 5th of August.
It looks unlikely that the move will have been completed in time for Miovski to make his debut against Real Betis this evening, making it likely that he will get his first minutes away at Atlético Madrid on the 25th of August.
It remains to be seen whether the North Macedonian’s solid form in the Scottish top-flight will translate to success in La Liga, but the 25-year-old will be confident that he can take the step up.
Many Aberdeen fans have also praised Miovski’s attitude in the face of the move, who gave his all in training right until the move was made official.
