After leading Barcelona to a tremendous 2024/25 campaign, Hansi Flick has firmly established himself as a real saviour.

And now, his contributions to the Barcelona project have been rewarded with a new contract.

Indeed, Barcelona have officially announced the renewal of Hansi Flick’s contract, which was initially supposed to expire in 2026.

Contract until 2027

As per the official statement, Flick has renewed his contract at Barcelona until 2027, which accounts for a one-year extension.

It is no secret that Barcelona wanted Flick to renew for a longer term, but reports suggest the German wasn’t too keen on the idea.

He wants to approach each season individually and take a call on his future only at the end of that corresponding year.

That means there is a fair chance Flick may look to discuss his future at Barcelona once again only after the end of next season.

Nonetheless, Flick’s renewal could be the first of three big renewals for FC Barcelona by the end of this month.

Indeed, the Catalans are gearing up for the renewal of two key attackers in the form of Raphinha and Lamine Yamal.

The announcement for the Raphinha deal could be made this midweek, whereas Barcelona are ready to offer Yamal a mega deal, which could see him become the third-highest earner at the club.

The collective renewal of Flick, Raphinha and Yamal could go a long way in helping Barcelona ensure that their dominance in Spanish football sustains, at least in the years to come.
