After yet another successful domestic season at Barcelona, Hansi Flick has been voted as the Coach of the Year in La Liga for a second consecutive season.
The German coach has now firmly established himself as one of the finest managers in world football, and LaLiga’s recognition only reinforces what has been evident to anyone who has watched Barcelona this season.
Flick beat out Jose Bordalas of Getafe and Marcelino of Villarreal in the final vote to claim the award, though few would argue the decision was anything other than straightforward given what he achieved with Barcelona this campaign.
The numbers tell the story clearly. Barcelona finished the season with 94 points from 38 matches, losing just six times across the entire campaign and scoring 95 goals.
They also became the first team in La Liga history to win every single home match in a 38-game season, claiming all 19 home fixtures across three different stadiums.

What makes this achievement particularly notable is that Flick claimed the same award last season, making him the first manager to win back-to-back Coach of the Year honours in La Liga in recent memory.
Last season, he delivered a domestic treble. This time, he successfully defended the league title while maintaining the same recognisable, high-intensity playing style that has made Barcelona one of the most exciting teams in European football.
The consistency of performance across two full seasons, combined with the collective improvement of so many individual players under his guidance, makes a compelling case that Barcelona have one of the best coaches in the world at the helm.
With a contract now extended until 2028, the best may well be yet to come.
