After announcing the departures of Pierrick Capelle (39) and Abdoulaye Bamba (36), Angers SCO have confirmed that full-back Carlens Arcus (29) has extended his contract by a further season, keeping him at the club until June 2027.
Having joined from Vitesse Arnhem in the summer of 2024, the Haitian was due to see his contract expire at the end of the current season, but will ultimately remain with Angers for the coming months, as announced in a statement published on the club’s website.
A key member of Alexandre Dujeux’s squad before suffering an adductor injury that kept him sidelined for several weeks, Arcus started in 25 of the 27 matches (three assists) he played across all competitions.
This is good news for the Port-au-Prince native, who is likely to be included in Sébastien Migné’s squad for Haiti’s World Cup campaign, where Les Grenadiers will face Scotland, Brazil and Morocco in Group C.
