Inter Milan captain Lautaro Martinez has pulled out of the Argentina squad ahead of their two FIFA 2026 World Cup qualifiers against Uruguay and Brazil.

This according to the Argentina National team as reported via FcInterNews. The report states that Lautaro Martinez has pulled out of the Argentina national team with a hamstring injury.

“Striker Lautaro Martinez will be out of the squad for the double fixture in March due to an injury to the biceps femoris muscle of his left hamstring” the statement read.

Inter Milan captain Lautaro Martinez has featured 39 times this season for the Nerazzurri across all competitions. He has scored 18 times in the process.

Furthermore, Lautaro is a fundamentally important part of the Argentina set up. Therefore, he has to date won 70 caps scoring 32 times in the process.

This includes the winning goal in last summer’s Copa America final against Colombia. That was his fourth title with Argentina.
