Serie A champions Napoli have this evening announced the signing of Eintracht Frankfurt’s Jesper Lindstrøm.
According to Kicker, Eintracht Frankfurt will receive an initial €30m for Lindstrøm, who had a contract with the Hessen club until 2026. Since his move from Brondby in 2021, Lindstrøm established himself as a key player for Eintracht after a slow start. He was a key player under Oliver Glasner towards the end of his first season at the club, and helped SGE win the Europa League. During his time at the club, Lindstrøm scored 14 and created 14 in 80 games across all competitions.
“Jesper played a large part in our positive development over the past two years,” said Markus Krösche, SGE sports director. “Winning the Europa League title, reaching the DFB Pokal final and, last but not least, many special moments in the Bundesliga.”
His performances last season attracted interest from Juventus, RB Leipzig, Newcastle United and Arsenal. Upon his departure, Brondby are also expected to pocket 15% of the transfer fee that Eintracht receive.
Lindstrøm’s replacement is likely to come in the form of Toulouse attacker Farès Chaïbi. The 20-year-old, who already has one assist this season, is expected to cost Eintracht around €10m.
It’s also likely to be a busy final few days for Eintracht Frankfurt with the expected departure of Randal Kolo Muani.
