Recently promoted SCO Angers have completed the signing of Gabonese international Jim Allevinah (29). He joins from Clermont Foot, whose relegation from Ligue 1 was confirmed earlier this month.
Clermont’s three-year stay in Ligue 1 has come to an end, however, not all staff members and players will join the club in returning to France’s second division. One player has already left – Allevinah. Having played 159 matches for Les Auvergnates, including 95 in Ligue 1, the attacker has left the club to join Angers.
Last season, Allevinah made 29 appearances for Clermont Foot in Ligue 1, scoring twice and registering one assist. He adds crucial Ligue 1 experience to this Angers side who have returned to Ligue 1 at the first time of asking. Their second-place finish in Ligue 2 saw them secure automatic promotion. Allevinah has signed a three-year deal with Angers, tying him to the club until the summer of 2027.
